Why wear an Anita active sports bra?

Sport puts a great strain on the bust. For example, when jogging the bust moves up and down by around 9 centimetres - over a distance of 1,000 metres this means 84 metres!

An Anita active sports bra with its high-function design reliably supports, shapes and encompasses the bust so that movement and uncomfortable 'pulling' is minimalised. These functional features are especially important for larger bust sizes. Unfortunately many women are unaware of how important it is not to wear just any bra when doing sport. Only 15 per cent of women currently wear a suitable bra specially designed for sports activities. The sports scientist Dr Joanna Scurr from the University of Portsmouth, UK, discovered that a supporting sports bra prevents 'bouncing', and therefore stretching, of the sensitive breast tissue by 74 per cent, while a normal bra only compensates by 38 per cent.

The breast is made up of fatty tissue, not muscle. For this reason exercise cannot overcome any slackness to regain its original firmness and condition. To help prevent damage to the breast tissue the wearing of a supporting sports bra is strongly advised.

WHY ARE ANITA SPORTS BRAS AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT LEVELS?

Anita active sports bras are divided into three categories to meet varying support requirements.

LIGHT SUPPORT: The light support styles are suitable for women with a small cup size and also for low-intensity sporting activities.

FIRM SUPPORT: Women with larger busts, or requiring a higher level of support for a higher-intensity sport should select a firm support bra.

MAXIMUM SUPPORT: Extra support is required for high-intensity sports and for women with large busts. Suitable bras with extra support can be found in the maximum support section.
